Terrell Academy baseball beats Valwood

Terrell Academy scored a big 3-2 nonregion victory over Valwood on Tuesday at Terrell Academy.

Jared Donalson started on the mound for the Eagles and struck out seven in four innings of work before leaving with a no-decision. Donalson allowed just one hit and two unearned runs before yielding to Garrett Sloan, who earned the victory after working the final three innings. Sloan struck out four and also went 2 for 3 at the plate to lead the offense.

Hunter Mathis’ homer in the bottom of the sixth inning put the Eagles ahead to stay.
