Notes: Ben Simmons makes his debut as Worth County’s head coach … Thomas County Central opens the season ranked 10th in the Georgia Sports Writers Association Class 5A poll, while Worth County received votes in Class 3A … TCC’s win last year snapped a two-game winning streak in the series by Worth County, the first time the Rams had won back-to-back games in the series since 1989-91.

Westover

Series history: First meeting.

Notes: Both teams are looking to do big things in 2017, with Westover carrying a large senior class and Pelham coming off a season where it was right in the mix for the top spot in Region 1-1A. … Pelham received votes in the GSWA Class 1A poll.
