An MRI exam on the injured left knee of Golden State Warriors star forward Draymond Green came back negative, according to an ESPN report Thursday.

Green’s status for Friday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans is uncertain.

The two-time All-Star and reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year was injured during the third quarter of the Warriors’ regular-season opener against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night.

“I’ll be good. I’m fine,” Green told ESPN following the game.

Green finished with nine points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists in 28 minutes in Golden State’s 122-121 loss.
