Westover, Worth County runners place at state cross country meet

The Westover girls cross country team placed 15th in Friday’s Class AAAA state championship meet in Carrollton.
Anna Plowden led the way with a 38th-place finish individually in 23 minutes, 5 seconds, while teammate Jada Landers was 66th in 24:24.
Westover’s boys finished 28th at the meet.
In AA, Worth County’s Eyan Zupko was 16th individually in 17:55 and teammate Conner Mullen was 27th in 18:29, helping their team to 19th. Worth’s girls placed 14th behind top-100 finishers Alexis Sokolowski (49th, 23:48), India Williamson (59th, 24:37), Ana Resendez (69th, 25:08) and Stevie Lewis (76th, 25:50).
