AMERICUS — Westwood dropped their second straight game of the season falling to Southland 35-0 Friday night.

The Wildcats had some opportunities to put points on the board, but failed to capitalize.

“We dropped a pass in the end zone early on,” Westwood coach Ross Worsham said. “We shot ourselves in the foot. We played one good quarter and then the size and depth of Southland started to wear on us.”

Worsham said that his team is also battling injuries and had numerous kids catch a virus before the game.

“We are battling some adversity right now,” Worsham said. “It has to get better than tonight.”

The Wildcats will hit the road next week to face Flint River Academy.
