Worth hammers Westover, 18-2

ALBANY — Worth County’s Gabe Goff batted in four runs on a double and a single as the Rams blew past Westover Wednesday afternoon at Eames Park for the second time in two weeks. This time by a score of 18-2. The win moves the Worth County record to 6-1 on the season. Westover fell to 1-5.
Goff doubled in the first inning, driving home two runs to start the scoring for Worth County. He added a single for two more runs in the fourth inning. The Rams scored seven runs in the first, four in the third and seven more in the fourth. The fourth inning rally was led by Goff, and singles by Garrett Kelly and Bailey Coker, as well as walks by Gabe Burger and Griffin Melton.
Jeremiah Reddell took the win on the mound for the Rams. He allowed two hits but no runs over two innings, striking out two and walking zero. Goff threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Antonio James took the loss for Westover. He lasted two innings, allowing six hits and nine runs while striking out two.
Worth County belted ten hits altogether. Burger, Goff, and Cason King all connected for two hits for the Rams.
Westover totaled five hits. C Hopkins and Kedarrius Cunningham all managed multiple hits for Westover.
The Rams will host Cairo Friday in Sylvester with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m. Westover will take on Deerfield Windsor Monday at 4 p.m.
