LEESBURG – The Lee County basketball teams celebrated senior night in style on Saturday with dominant wins over visiting Thomas County Central. The Lady Trojans cruised to a 51-19 victory, while the boys followed with a 66-39 triumph.
Senior Bayyinah Citlak knocked down two first-quarter three-pointers, and Camya Hutcherson added another as the Lady Trojans built a commanding 30-6 halftime lead. They were never threatened, improving their overall record to 15-6. Hutcherson led all scorers with 17 points, Citlak added 14, and Taliyah Porter chipped in eight for Lee County.
In the boys’ game, head coach Kirven Davis gave a different group of seniors the opportunity to start. This group held its own early, trailing just 4-2 midway through the first quarter. Davis then subbed in his usual starting five, and the game shifted dramatically.
Torren Williams and Kam Sanders sparked the offense with back-to-back three-pointers, and the Trojans’ speed and defensive pressure overwhelmed the Yellow Jackets. Lee County repeatedly attacked the basket, leaving Thomas County Central unable to respond.
Senior Braden Moore scored 12 points in the second quarter alone, including back-to-back three-pointers, pushing the Trojans to a 36-11 lead. By halftime, the score stood at 40-14. In the second half, the starting lineup saw limited action as 13 different Trojans contributed points.
Moore led the team with 12 points, while Jordan Houston added eight, and Trecori Green scored seven.

The Trojans will host Houston County on Tuesday night in Leesburg in a pivotal battle for the region lead. Houston County, with an 18-4 record, handed Lee County its only region loss earlier this season.
