Teen accused in fatal shooting suspect in previous shooting at same hotel, Albany police say

Property taxes, traffic congestion, school spending, development pressure and the loss of rural land remain at the center of public debate. That raises a basic accountability question: If county leaders understood these challenges 20 years ago, why do so many of them remain unresolved?

Several Terrell County High School JROTC cadets were recognized for outstanding citizenship, leadership and service during the school’s recent JROTC Honors Night, receiving awards from the Old Herod Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution.

“We have audits of those to make sure they’re being used like they’re supposed to be used. If people are using these for (purposes) other than what they’re supposed to be used for, we’ll hold them accountable.”
