Squawk of the Day – Dec. 7, 2015
By Submitted
Albany had so many features that made it unique and attractive that are gone or about to be: the Radium Springs Casino overlooking the crystal clear waters of the springs with underwater lights at night revealing the fascinating aquatic life; a square block, the heart of downtown, with over 200 businesses and senselessly torn down, and now the great Albany Theater, a 1920s art deco movie palace with its arcade lined with shops, impressive two-story high lobby with sweeping stairs to the mezzanine, beautiful chandelier and its theater pipe organ.
