NASHVILLE, Ga. — Hunter Goodwin hurled a three-hit shutout to help Worth County beat Berrien 6-0 Tuesday in a nonregion game.

Goodwin needed just 98 pitches to beat the Rebels. He struck out eight in the complete-game victory to help Worth County improve to 7-0.

Worth County didn’t take the lead until later in the game. The Rams scored on a stolen base during DJ Edwards’ at bat. Then Edwards singled.

Edwards led Worth County with two runs batted in. He went 2-for-3 on the day, while Seth Newell, Riley Kelly and Jeremiah Reddell all had hits.
