ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 23 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
–– Terrorist threats or acts (felony) on the 3100 block of Walterboro Lane;
— Theft (lost or mislaid property) on the 4000 block of Gillionville Road, on the 2400 block of North Slappey Boulevard;
— Aggravated assault on the 800 block of Willie Pitts Jr. Road;
— No insurance on the 1800 block of West Gordon Avenue;
— Theft by shoplifting on the 1200 block of Dawson Road, on the 200 block of Cordele Road;
— Battery on the 1100 block of Avalon Avenue;
— Entering auto on the 2700 block of Ray Knight Way;
— Burglary (first degree/non-forced entry) on the 2000 block of North Riverview Circle, on the 800 block of Colquitt Circle;
— Burglary (first degree/forced entry) on the 100 block of Talafax Road;
— Burglary (second degree/non-forced entry) on the 600 block of Sandalwood Circle;
— Burglary (second degree/forced entry) on the 1100 block of East Broad Avenue, on the 2400 block of Dawson Road;
— Burglary (smash and grab) on the 2200 block of Gillionville Road;
— Simple battery on the 1500 block of Beverly Circle;
— Criminal damage to property on the 700 block of West Lincoln Avenue;
— Theft by taking (all other) on the 800 block of West Highland Avenue;
— Criminal tresspass on the 200 block of West 1st Avenue;
— Financial transaction card fraud on the 2500 block of Dawson Road;
— Disorderly conduct on the 300 block of West Oglethorpe Boulevard, on the 2400 block of Cardinal Street.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police responded to at least five calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Auto accident at the intersection of South Mock Road and Moultrie Road;
— Sexual assault on the 3100 block of War Eagle Drive;
— Burglar alarm on the 100 block of Lockett Station Road;
— Contact person on the 3300 block of Sylvester Highway;
— Miscellaneous at the intersection of Tallahassee Road and Gillionville Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least five calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Passenger vehicle fire on the 2000 block of Coves Court;
— Grass fire at the intersection of Newton Road and West Oakridge Drive;
— Building fire on the 2500 block of Crescent Drive;
— Arcing electrical on the 2500 block of Dawson Road;
— Auto accident on the 4600 block of Radium Springs Road.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 57 calls on Thursday and the early hours of Friday, available reports indicate. Incidents included two chest pain calls, two abdominal pain calls, seven respiratory issue calls, one stroke call, one diabetic issue call, one labor call, five seizure calls, one mental health call and 16 general sickness calls. Trauma calls included one overdose, six auto accidents, seven falls, one laceration, two assaults and one animal bite. Other calls included one local transport, one medical activation and one standby school function.
