ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 23 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Interfering with officers on the 1100 block of Newton Road;
— Entering autos on the 600 block of Chippington Court, the 2000 block of West Broad Avenue (two calls), the 2300 block of West Gordon Avenue and the 400 block of Jefferies Avenue;
— Battery on the 500 block of North Westover Boulevard, the 2500 block of North Slappey Boulevard and the 1400 block of Sixth Avenue;
— Marijuana possession with intent to distribute on the 2100 block of McAdams Street;
— Criminal trespass on the 900 block of Clark Avenue, the 500 block of North Westover Boulevard, the 200 block of North Broadway Street, the 1000 block of Dunes Avenue and the 2100 block of West Gordon Avenue;
— Reckless conduct on the 1600 block of Gillespie Avenue;
— Burglaries on the 2100 block of West Gordon Avenue and the 1900 block of Meadow Drive;
— Missing person on the 2200 block of East Broad Avenue;
— Thefts by shoplifting on the 200 block of Cordele Road and the 1000 block of West Gordon Avenue;
— Thefts by taking on the 1200 block of the Eighth Avenue and the 1200 block of South Davis Street.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least seven calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Auto accidents on the 4900 block of Hill Road, the 1700 block of Blue Springs Lane and the 1200 block of Nelms Road;
— Suspicious persons on the 1700 block of Dorough Avenue and the 4400 block of Acree Avenue;
— Disorderly conduct on the 3200 block of Sylvester Highway;
— Auto accident with injuries on the 1100 block of South County Line Road.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least eight calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included:
— Extrication of victim at the intersection of Blaylock Street and the Liberty Expressway;
— EMS assist on the 400 block of West Whitney Avenue;
— Unauthorized burning on the 4800 block of Impala Lane;
— Gas leak on the 500 block of West Society Avenue;
— Smoke removal on the 700 block of West Residence Avenue;
— Grass fire on the 600 block of Highland Avenue;
— Building fire on the 2800 block of Falcon Lane.
DOUGHERTY EMS: Dougherty County EMS responded to at least 55 calls on Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. Incidents included one choking call, one chest pain call, five breathing problem calls, one fainting call, two stroke calls, one seizure call, one unknown problem call, two abdominal pain calls and 19 general sickness calls. Trauma calls included 11 auto accident victims, six falls, two lacerations and one stab/gunshot wound. Other types of calls included two school standbys.
