Constitutional Officers Association of Georgia elects Calhoun’s Hilton
Statewide group names Calhoun County sheriff one of its officers

EDISON — Calhoun County Sheriff Josh Hilton was elected secretary/treasurer of the Constitutional Officers Association of Georgia during that group’s recent election.
Spalding County Tax Commissioner Sylvia Hollums was selected to serve as president of the organization, while Banks County Clerk of Superior Court Tim Harper was selected as president-elect. Barrow County Probate Judge Tammy Brown was elected vice president of the statewide organization.
Rep. David Knight administered the oath of office to the newly elected officials.
Also at the meeting, the organization announced that Harper was selected as Officer of the Year by his peers. Harper has served the citizens of Banks County county since 1993 as the clerk of court. An active member of his community, Harper is a member of Riverside Baptist Church, where he is the song leader. He is also a member of Hollingsworth Masonic Lodge No. 355, past president of the Banks County Holiday festival and a member of the Banks County Sunday School Celebration.
