ALBANY POLICE: The Albany Police Department responded to at least 23 calls on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. The incidents included:
— Aggravated assault on the 1500 block of Gillespie Avenue;
— Entering autos on the 3200 block of Saddleleaf Avenue, the 1500 block of West Whitney Avenue, the 1800 block of Whisperwood Street, the 2500 block of Dawson Road and the 200 block of South Ingleside Drive;
— Loitering obstruction of free passage on the 400 block of West Third Avenue;
— Burglaries on the 1300 block of Schley Avenue, the 600 block of Kingsbury Lane and the 1200 block of Van Buren Street;
— Criminal damage to property on the 400 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Deceased person on the 2100 block of West Edgewater Drive;
— Injuring, tearing down or destruction of mailboxes on the 600 block of Sands Drive;
— Criminal trespasses on the 600 block of West Fourth Avenue, the 700 block of Mobile Avenue and the 400 block of Gaines Avenue;
— Thefts by taking on the 600 block of Swift Street and the 4400 block of North Creek Court;
— Traffic arrest on the 2100 block of East Broad Avenue;
— Disorderly conducts on the 800 block of West Highland Avenue and the 400 block of West Third Avenue;
— Simple battery on the 500 block of Dorsett Avenue;
— Malicious mischief on the 900 block of Cherry Avenue.
DOUGHERTY POLICE: The Dougherty County Police Department responded to at least 12 calls on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. The incidents included:
— Suspicious persons on the 3800 block of Coakley Avenue and the 5800 block of Newton Road;
— Wanted person on the 3200 block of Pinyon Drive;
— Deceased person on the 1400 block of Pippin Lane;
— Auto accident on the 4600 block of Gillionville Road;
— Entering auto on the 3600 block of Radial Avenue;
— Suspicious autos on the 900 block of Roland Road, the 1300 block of Nelms Road and the 100 block of South Westover Boulevard;
— Disorderly conduct at the intersection of South Mock Road and Moultrie Road;
— Rape on Spring Hill Road;
— Theft by taking on the 1300 bock of Miller Street.
ALBANY FIRE: The Albany Fire Department responded to at least seven calls on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate. The incidents included:
— Assistance to police or other government agency on the 2100 block of West Edgewater Drive;
— Gasoline spill on the 1200 block of North Westover Boulevard;
— Power line down on the 900 block of West Residence Avenue;
— Motor vehicle accidents at the intersection of North Westover Boulevard and Nottingham Way and the 800 block of East Broad Avenue;
— Arcing, shorted electrical equipment on the 600 block of West Mercer Avenue;
— Dumpster or other outside trash fire on the 900 block of Cherry Avenue.
DOUGHERTY EMS: The Dougherty County Emergency Medical Service responded to at least 64 calls on Wednesday and into the early hours of Thursday, available reports indicate.
The medical calls included three chest pains, two abdominal pains/problems, one headache, three unknown problems/men down, one well person check, 15 respiratory issues, 19 general sicknesses, three altered mental statuses, two diabetic issues, two obstetrical issues and two cardiac arrests/deaths.
The trauma calls included three auto accidents, two falls, one laceration and one assault. The other calls included one stand-by for APD and two transports.
