Playoff Update: Westover, Lee County lose

The Westover Patriots (16-12) lost 72-65 in overtime Saturday night in College Park as Woodward Academy’s Walker Kessler took over and scored 11 overtime points to defeat the Patriots. Kessler finished the night with 28 total points. Woodward Academy is now 20-8 on the season.
The Patriots led 51-40 going into the final quarter, but Woodward tied the game 63-63 at the end to force the overtime and then Kessler poured in his 11 points. The Patriots only scored two free throws during the overtime.
Senior point guard Jordan Brown led the Patriots with 19 points. Sophomore Isaac Abidde knocked in 16 points and Michael Isler added 12.
Also Saturday night, the Lee County Trojans lost to Mundys Mill 73-60 in Jonesboro and the Lady Trojans of Lee County fell to Forest Park 49-22.
