Albany sorority to present panel discussion of housing

ALBANY — The Social Action Committee of the Albany Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. will present a panel of housing experts to discuss affordable housing in southwest Georgia.
This initiative is focused around Human Rights Day, commemorated internationally on Dec. 10, to both raise awareness that housing is a human right and to advocate for the needs of residents.
Taking part in the discussion will be William Myles, CEO — Housing Authority, city of Albany/Greater Albany Area; Candice Drake, executive director, Dawson Housing Authority, and Shaundra Clark, executive director, Tifton Housing Authority.
Two events will take place, and the community is encouraged to tune in:
— Sunday, 9:30 a.m., WALB-NBC’s “Dialogue” (the program also can be seen on Bounce at 9 a.m. and on WALB-ABC at 10 a.m.);
— Dec. 10, 10 a.m., WZBN Radio, 105.5, the Day Rider Program, live with the Rev. Samuel Gaines.
