To The Editor,

It has been over 20 years since the first school shooting in the United States. Three governors and multiple legislators have held office during that time. Do these officials, including the ones presently in office, bare some responsibility for the deaths and injuries that recently occurred at Apalachee High School?

I urge these officials to show some leadership and enact reasonable and effective gun control legislation that will, among other things, stop children from possessing assault-style weapons and high-capacity magazines. The people want no less.
