ALBANY – Albany Technical College officials announced the college’s participation in an exclusive “Suit Up” event at JCPenney, aimed at helping students prepare for their professional careers by offering access to discounted business attire.
The event will occur on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at JCPenney, located at the Albany Mall. It will allow Albany Tech students to shop for professional clothing at significantly reduced prices while learning how to dress for success in job interviews and the workplace.
The “Suit Up” event underscores Albany Technical College’s commitment to ensuring that its students are fully prepared for career opportunities not only through academic and technical skills but also in their professional appearance. Dressing appropriately for an interview or work place is a critical step toward career success, and this event will empower students to make strong first impressions.
Participating students will receive personalized styling tips, access to exclusive discounts, and guidance on selecting attire that suits their career path. This collaboration between Albany Technical College and JCPenney is one of many initiatives designed to prepare students for life beyond the classroom.
In addition to the “Suit Up” event, Albany Technical College also will host a career fair on Oct. 30, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kirkland Conference Center. The career fair will offer students an excellent opportunity to connect with potential employers and showcase their readiness for the work force. Professional attire is required — no denim or sneakers allowed. Students are encouraged to update their resumes, prepare a 60-second introduction, and focus on what they can offer to stand out in the crowd.
