Vote Run Lead adds to executive staff

ATLANTA — Vote Run Lead, the nonprofit that trains women to run for political office and win, announced that it has expanded its staff to include two new additions: Yvonne Boose of Atlanta as director of finance, and Terry Selucky of Los Angeles, as head of development operations and narrative. Both join the organization as it grows in advance of the 2024 election cycle.

“Yvonne brings with her more than 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a proven track record of success in driving growth and profitability,” acquie Ferreira, chief operating officer with Vote Run Lead, said in a news release. “She will work closely with our executive leadership team to ensure that we continue to grow and thrive in the years ahead.”

Boose will oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial analysis for Vote Run Lead. A Hogansville native who currently lives in Atlanta with her husband and son, Boose’s career has included human resources, payroll, financial strategy, accounting and many other roles in both the corporate and governmental sectors.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Western Governors University, an MBA from American InterContinental University in Accounting and Finance, and an M.ED degree from Northcentral University, with a concentration in organizational leadership. She has also been a teacher and professor, with years of experience teaching finance, revenue management, accounting, and software classes at the college level.

“It is my honor to utilize my gifts, education, knowledge and finance skills to help the growth and development of Vote Run Lead as an organization, and to work with women in the Vote Run Lead community who are dedicated to achieving greatness,” Boose said.

Selucky has joined Vote Run Lead as head of Development Operations and Narrative, a role in which she will lead operations, infrastructure and analytics efforts of the fundraising team, and coordinating with other teams on donor communications. Selucky is a Chicagoland native who currently resides in the Los Angeles area with her husband and daughter.

“I’m thrilled to work alongside Vote Run Lead’s incredible team and partners, and be a part of the work to train more women to run for office,” she said. “This is the perfect time to share more stories of women’s positive impacts.”

Selucky also is an experienced playwright and screenwriter (recently winning Best Scriptwriter at the La Femme International Short Film Festival for a film she wrote and directed), and brings a storytelling lens to her work to raise awareness, funds and energy and to help organizations achieve their most daring visions for social good. To date, through her nonprofit communications business, she has helped deliver more than $35 million for nonprofit organizations focused on racial and gender equity, homeless services, rare disease and immigrant inclusion. She graduated magna cum laude from DePaul University with a bachelor of arts degree in fine arts and playwriting.
