It’s the unofficial end of summer with the Labor Day weekend, so make it a good one by finding something to do out in southwest Georgia..

When: Friday, 8 p.m.-10 p.m.Where: Downtown Thomasveille.The Michael Miller Band will be playing at the Ritz Amphitheater for the First Friday Sip & Shop. Enjoy dinner, grab a beer or wine and a free arm band from a participating downtown restaurant or venue, and shop. Participating shops will have extended hours, with many bars and restaurants open until 10 p.m. Food trucks will be at at the Ritz Amphitheater during this event.

When: Friday, starts at 7 p.m.Where: The Vault, 2238 Palmyra Road.It’s an evening for those 25 and up for grown folks night out.

When: Friday, 6 p.m.-10 p.m.Where: Pretoria Fields Brewing, 120 Pine Ave.Hear the sounds of the Pine Box Dwellers, a “cosmic country rock” duo from Waycross comprised of guitarist/vocalist Sean Clark and percussionist/vocalist Connor Griffin.

When: Saturday, 8 p.m.-11 p.m.Where: 932 W. Broad Ave.This outdoor event will feature poets Trenda Band and Kierra Soft, with R&B singers Danny V and J. Gabrielle. There will be a free wine tassting, food by Chef Hazel and will include local vendors. Cash bar.Admission: $25.
