The Albany Area Arts Council invites the community to the opening reception for “What We Carry,” an exhibition by Georgia painter and arts educator Karla Noble Lewis.

ALBANY — The Albany Area Arts Council invites the community to the opening reception for “What We Carry,” an exhibition by Georgia painter and arts educator Karla Noble Lewis.
The reception is scheduled 6-8 p.m. at the Arts Council’s Carnegie Library Gallery at 215 N. Jackson St. in downtown Albany.
Guests will have the opportunity to experience paintings that celebrate identity, memory and belonging. This collection explores the stories that connect through vibrant acrylic and oil paintings inspired by Southern life.
The exhibit will be on display at the Gallery noon-4 p.m. through Nov. 20. Additional appointments for viewings may be made by contacting the gallery.
