Albany State’s Isaiah Knowles earns SIAC Offensive Player of the Week

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ISAIAH KNOWLESALBANY STATE UNIVERSITY

Quarterback | R-Sophomore | Tampa, Fla.

Knowles ranks second in conference passing yards, totaling 479 and averaging 239.5 passing yards per game. He currently has a 68.4 completion percentage and a 155.2 efficiency. Despite the Golden Rams’ loss, Knowles completed four passing touchdowns and finished with 262 passing yards.

DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – ROSSIE GRIMESTUSKEGEE UNIVERSITY

Defensive Back | Sophomore | Stockbridge, Ga.

Grimes led the Tuskegee defense with a team-high 12 tackles, including nine solo stops and three assists. His relentless effort on the field also included one tackle for loss, putting consistent pressure on Grambling’s offense. Additionally, Grimes forced a fumble that contributed to Tuskegee’s defensive effort in the second half, helping limit Grambling to no points after halftime.

SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – TREVOR BYWATERALLEN UNIVERSITY

Kicker/Punter | R-Sophomore | Rockledge, Fla.

Bywater had four punts against Clark Atlanta, averaging 35.2 yards per punt, with a long of 42 yards. Two of his four punts landed inside the 20-yard line.

NEWCOMER OF THE WEEK – JAMIR DISMUKESALLEN UNIVERSITY

Quarterback | Junior | Cleveland, Ohio

Dismukes completed 21-of-28 passes for 263 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions against Clark Atlanta.
