Hit the road this weekend for one of the events happening in Southwest Georgia.

When: Saturday, 6 p.m.-10 p.m.Where: 130 First St. E., Tifton.Tifton is hosting an event throwing it back to the ’90s and the era of MTV, boom boxes, neon and big hair for a summer party, with music by Scout and Emerald Empire. Attendees can check out The Pub for cold adult beverages, Savor the Flavor, Don Julio’s Mexican Restaurant, The Local at the Lankford and Fresco Italiano. Beverages may be taken to go for a sip and stroll. Second Saturday merchants and food trucks will also be out downtown. Bring chairs, family and friends for a ‘rockin’ night.

When: Saturday, starts at 5 p.m.Where: Watt Park, Botson.The Jam kicks off with a free concert at Watt Park, with The Red Hills Band and Blue Burden at 7 p.m. The event is sip and stroll and attendees will be allowed to carry food and beverages purchased at local restaurants into the park, but no private coolersalowed. Activities for kids will include face paniting, and other vendors will be at the site.Cost: No charge for general admission.
