Festival of Lights: Christmas light drive-thru and train ride, 6 p.m. Lights-only nights: Dec. 1-3, 6-7, 10, 13-14, 24 and 26-30. Cost: $15 per vehicle, $12 per member vehicle. Premium Nights: Dec. 8-9, 15-23. Cost: $17.50 per vehicle, $12 per member vehicle. Premium nights include a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, access for children to a south Georgia snow pit, and various arts and crafts activities. Visitors also can ride the Wiregrass Express and see light displays only visible on the train’s route. Train ride is $3.

Flint RiverQuarium

Sylvester Christmas Parade: 6 p.m., downtown Sylvester.

Holiday with the Chorale: 7 p.m., First Methodist Church of Albany. The Albany Chorale’s annual holiday concert features spiritual and secular music as well as several audience sing-along selections. Refreshments and meet-and-greet after the concert. Tickets: $15, adults; $10, students; free, children under 12. Tickets are available at Parker Music in Albany or at the door.

DEC. 8

The Happy Elf: 7:30 p.m. (also 7:30 p.m. Dec. 9 and Dec. 14-15, 2 p.m. Dec. 10 and 16-17), Theatre Albany, 514 Pine Ave. Theatre Albany performs the Harry Connick Jr. Christmas musical, which also will be the theater’s final production under Artistic Director Mark Costello.
