Date set for annual Downtown Albany Street Festival

ALBANY — The Flint River Entertainment Complex announced Monday that the annual Downtown Street Festival, held for the last several years in conjunction with the Snickers Marathon, will return to the Veterans Park Amphitheatre on March 4.
The Downtown Street Festival, which is one of Albany’s largest family-friendly arts and crafts events, will again be held from noon-8 p.m., after the running of the Combos Marathon & Half-Marathon.
Tickets for the festival, which are $5 for patrons 5-and-over, can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com or at the Georgia’s Own Credit Union located at the Albany Civic Center beginning Monday at 10 a.m.
Already scheduled to perform on the amphitheatre’s main stage are the Riley Anderson Band, BoDean and the Poachers and the Thomas Merritt Band. More artists will be added. Also on hand will be craft vendors, food trucks and other attractions.
