THOMASVILLE – Thomasville officials invite revelers to prepare for an unforgettable evening at the next First Friday Sip & Shop event in the city’s downtown district. The city streets will come alive with extended shopping and dining hours, live music, and so much more from 5-10 p.m. on Aug. 2.
“Our August First Friday Sip & Shop event typically draws some of our largest crowds because there’s so much to enjoy with the addition of our street entertainment,” Thomasville Main Street Director Brandy Avery said in a news release. “We encourage you to dine with our restaurants or food trucks and spend some time shopping with our businesses throughout the night.”
Many shops will have extended hours throughout the event, and restaurants and eateries will be open for dining or quick bites. Food trucks will be on site at the Ritz Amphitheater including Mi Jefas Tacos Y Cantina, Foodie Pops, and LaSalle Carnival Food.
This month’s free concert features The Rock Mob, a high-energy rock tribute band. The concert will take place from 7-9 p.m. at The Ritz Amphitheater. Plus visitors can enjoy live street music throughout downtown Thomasville from Saylor Dollar and Liz Yoder from 5-7 p.m., before the main concert begins.
Attendees can pick up a free cup from any participating business and enjoy an adult beverage while shopping and strolling throughout the downtown area. For more information, visit thomasvillega.com or call the Thomasville Visitors Center at (229) 228-7977.
