Trae Pierce & T-Stones to play at Thomasville Frist Friday

THOMASVILLE — Thomasville’s First Friday Sip & Shop is set for Friday from 6-10 p.m., with extended shopping hours, dining out, food trucks, and a live performance at The Ritz Amphitheater by Grammy Award-winning artist Trae Pierce & the T-Stones. There’s no better way, officials here say, to spend an evening out.
“The First Friday Sip & Shop is so rewarding to have in our downtown,” Thomasville Main Street Manager Brandy Avery said. “We’ve had great participation this summer, and we’re looking forward to a large turnout.”
Special “Shop the Block” discounts and special offers will be offered by shops and restaurants with extended shopping and dining hours throughout the night. A list of discounts can be found on the Downtown Thomasville Facebook page or by visiting thomasvillega.com.
“Turn your summer plans up a notch and come downtown where you can shop, dine and enjoy live music,” Special Events Manager Nicole Elwell said. “There is no better way to celebrate the warm summer months than at a First Friday Sip & Shop. There’s something for everyone.”
The concert at the Ritz Amphitheater this month features Trae Pierce & the T-Stones, a band that mixes hard-edged rock with hip-hop and pop to “bring out the best in every beat.” Bound to provide a high-energy show, the band’s performance is from 8-10 p.m.
This is also the last month to participate in the Thomasville Loyalty Card campaign, so citizens are urged to pick up a card at any participating downtown business. For every $20 spent, downtown businesses will sign off on the card. After spending $200, completed cards can be dropped off at the Thomasville Visitor’s Center to be entered into a prize drawing on Sept. 1.
