Opening Night-Meet the Musicians: 7:30 p.m., First United Methodist Church, 307 Flint Ave. The Albany Symphony Orchestra is putting the spotlight on it principal players with compositions by Camille St. Saëns and Igor Stravinsky, highlighting each musician and his/her instrument of choice. Earth Day Celebration: 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Flint RiverQuarium outdoor plaza. In partnership with the Southwest Georgia Master Gardeners extension volunteers, event will bring together a variety of organizations, exhibits and activities focusing on the beauty of the natural world and what can be done to help protect it. Spring Fete: 6 p.m., Albany Museum of Art. Celebrate spring with a dinner prepared by Albany native Stacey Eames, CEO of Highland Bakery in Atlanta, and her brother Glenn Eames, owner of Smoke and Fire in Albany. The setting will be at the home of Craig and Jessica Castle, known for its architecture and grounds. The dinner is part of the Albany Museum of Art Fine Art of Culinary Dining Series IV. Easterfest: 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Providence Church, 2504 Archwood Drive in Albany. Annual event and fun-filled time. Four egg hunts available by age group with golden eggs and prizes. Unique inflatables, horse rides, obstacle courses, face paint, snow cones and more. Everyone is welcome. Free admission and food trucks will be available to purchase lunch. On The Knife’s Edge: Papercut Workshop: 10 a.m.-noon, Albany Museum of Art. Artist Jerushia Graham will teach basic papercut art techniques at this workshop and also provide a guided tour of her AMA exhibition, “Undercurrents” that will be on display in the East Gallery. Walk A Mile In Her Shoes: 10 a.m.-1 p.m., Deerfield-Windsor School Upper Campus Track, 2500 Nottingham Way. Benefit for Lily Pad. Official march in high heels against sexual violence. In addition to both men and women marching there will be a Superhero Fun Run for children to race with their favorite superheroes. Included in registration, walkers will receive this year’s Walk A Mile T-shirt and “swag bag” full of goodies, while superheroes will receive their own cape. Challenge is for each walker to raise $500 this year. Registration fee for all children is $10. Children do not need to collect sponsorships for Superhero Fun Run.

Art Fest: 4-8 p.m., Albany Museum of Art. Tickets by Eventbrite. Effort to bring awareness to children’s mental health awareness. Hosted by Aspire Clubhouse. Face painting, food, vendors, paint balloon pop, life-size art activities, toddler crafts and color powder relay race. Everyone participating in the art competition will be handed the appropriate canvas ordered upon registration. Professional local artists will judge participants based on their celebration and awareness of mental health through originality and creativity.
