CARTER SCHEDULE

President Jimmy Carter is scheduled to teach Sunday school on Sunday at Maranatha Baptist Church, 148 Georgia Highway 45 North, Plains. The Sunday school class starts at 10 a.m. and is preceded by an orientation period at 9 a.m. Seating is on a first-come, first-seated basis. The church building opens at 7:30 a.m. Please note Carter’s schedule is subject to change. Visit the church website at www.mbcplains.org.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Maya Danielle will sign copies of her book “The Praise Break: A 30-Day Journey to Gratefulness” Sunday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Albany. The first book from new publishing company Davis Simmons Publishing, the publisher says “The Praise Break” was created to help individuals shift their perspective and focus on the positive. Danielle will meet and talk with individuals following the church’s 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. worship services.

The Youth Ministry of Kingdom of Heaven Ministries, 132 Upper River Road, Americus, will present Praise Fest 2017 at 5 p.m. June 17. Local choirs, praise teams and dance ministries will minister through song and dance.
