Flint RiverQuarium, Thronateeska plan joint Fourth of July promotion
Admission will be good for both facilities, the aquarium theater and the Wetherbee Planetarium

ALBANY — On the nation’s birthday Tuesday, the Flint RiverQuarium and Thronateeska Heritage Center are joining the downtown Albany Fourth of July festivities with a special combined admission for both attractions.
Admission to both facilities, a movie at the Imagination Theater, and a Wetherbee Planetarium show at Thronateeska will be an $8 ticket on Tuesday for all ages.
Admission to the RiverQuarium, open 10 a.m.-5 p.m., includes all the aquarium’s exhibits, close-up animal encounters, and free children’s educational films in the Imagination Theater. Theater seating is limited and will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Movie Times and Showings for July 4 are: 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m., “Nature Catt Ocean Commotion,” and 2:15 p.m. and 4:15 p.m., “Wild Kratts: Creatures of the Deep Sea.”
Thronateeska admission includes the science museum, history museum and one show in the state-of-the-art planetarium. Thronateeska hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday.
Planetarium times and showings Tuesday are 10:30 a.m., “Molecularium”; 11:30 a.m., “Earth, Moon, and Sun”; 1 p.m., “Black Holes”; 2 p.m., “Astronomyths,” and 3 p.m., “Two Small Pieces of Glass.”
