Apple Cranberry Galette

Apple cranberry galette may sound fancy but it’s an easy fall dessert. The seasonings Teresa chose are perfectly balanced and enhance the natural flavors of the fruit. The beauty of a galette is that it doesn’t have to be perfect. Basically, it’s a free-form pie. We used a pre-made pie crust and this was super easy to prepare. A great fall dessert recipe if you aren’t a pie expert but want all the flavors of a pie.

Ingredients

  • 4 apples, peeled and cored (I use whatever kind I have on hand)
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/3 c brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 c fresh cranberries
  • 1 refrigerated pie crust (or make your own if you’re ambitious)
