ALBANY — Tractor Supply Co. in Albany is on the lookout for all sorts of do-it-yourself enthusiasts, including gardeners, crafters and artisans to participate in its farmers market on Oct. 7.

Anyone who dabbles in the homemade arts, whether with jams and jellies, candles and soap, baked goods, home-grown vegetables or art is invited to register for the event.

Nonprofit organizations and food trucks are also welcome, company officials said.

“The farmers market will be a celebration of the talent and expertise in our community,” Tractor Supply Vice President of National and Local Store Marketing Phil Reiter said. “By registering, participants will have the opportunity to showcase and sell their goods and services, free of charge, in tented areas near the storefront.”

Tractor Supply Co. was founded in 1938 and is the largest rural retail store chain in the United States, according to company officials. The company has 1,630 stores in 49 states that focus on supplying the lifestyle needs of recreational farmers, ranchers or anyone who enjoys a rural lifestyle.

Most Tractor Supply stores are located in towns outlying major metropolitan markets and in rural communities.

The company offers a variety of products ranging from livestock goods, pet products, hardware, lawn and garden equipment, power equipment, clothing, as well as agricultural maintenance products.

“Whether its a side business or a hobby, our customers take pride in what they build, create and grow, and we want to help them share their talents with the community,” Reiter said. “At Tractor Supply, service means more than helping customers save time and money. It means serving our community and supporting our customers’ passions.”

Interested vendors can register at the Albany store or by visiting TSCEventPartners.com.
