NOV. 15

Cool Scoops, 106 Pine Ave.

Score: 97

Notes: Observed no hot water at the three-compartment and hand-washing sinks. PIC will have the hot water fixed; repeat violation.

Health Hut, 2345 Lake Park Drive

Score: 92

Notes: Observed bottles of bleach that were stored on the shelf with food items that were not separated by spacing or portioning. PIC moved the bleach to another location; corrected on-site, new violation. Observed an employee preparing food that was not wearing a disposable or easily cleanable hair net or other hair restraint. PIC will have all employees wear hair restraints while preparing food; new violation, violation of Code: [511-6-1.07(2)(i). Observed light bulbs in the food prep area that were not shielded, coated or otherwise shatter resistant. PIC will replace the shields on lights; new violation.

Notes: Observed no current original CFSM certificate posted in public view in the facility. PIC will have the CFSM replaced; new violation. Observed no hot or cold water being supplied to the three-compartment sink due to a leak. The sink will be repaired by maintenance; new violation.

Garden Terrace Cafe (Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital), 417 W. Third Ave.

McDonald’s, 2615 Dawson Road

Notes: Observed wiping cloths stored in solution that did not contain any chemical sanitizer. PIC made fresh sanitizer at 100 PPM; corrected on-site, new violation. Observed utensils stacked directly on one another while wet so that proper air drying was not encouraged. PIC re-stacked utensils; corrected on-site, new violation.

Notes: Observed wiping cloth QAC sanitizing solution not at proper minimum strength. Sanitizer solution was refilled to proper strength; corrected on-site, new violation. Observed exterior of drink machines (lobby and drive through) needs cleaning to remove excess syrup. PIC wiped down exterior of drink machines; corrected on-site, new violation.

Notes: Observed cocktail sauce not stored at 6 inches from floor in walk-in cooler; employee removed container of cocktail sauce and placed on storage shelf; corrected on-site, new violation. Observed freezer in a hallway lid/gasket in need of repair where glasses are kept cold. PIC will have lid repaired or replace with new freezer; repeat violation.

Notes: Thermometers provided by person in charge for taking food temperatures were not accurate to + or – 2 degrees F. Thermometers were discarded, and a new thermometer was used; corrected on-site, new violation. Observed wet wiping cloths stored out of sanitizer solution in hand sink. Person in charge corrected violation by moving cloths out of sink; corrected on-site, new violation.

Notes: Observed grilled chicken at 131 degrees F in pass-through warmer on front line. Manager corrected violation by discarding chicken; corrected on-site, new violation.

Lee Pub and Seafood, 1561 U.S. Highway 19 South, Suite 1

Notes: Observed deli meat, shredded lettuce, tomato held above 41 degrees F in prep top cooler. Manager corrected violation by discarding food items in trash; corrected on-site, new violation. Thermometer provided during inspection was not working properly to take food temperatures; new violation. Observed single-service items stored on the floor under vegetable sink. Cook corrected violation by moving single-service items up to a shelf off floor; corrected on-site, new violation.
