Carter’s Banquet Facilities, 317 Highland Ave.

Score: 97, Grade: A

Violations: Observed the previous inspection report not posted. PIC will post new inspection report. Repeat violation. Observed lid and doors not closed on Dumpster. PIC will have the lids closed. New violation.

Remarks: No PHF being prepared during the inspection.

Carter’s Grill, 321 Highland Ave.

Score: 89, Grade: B

Violations: Observed tobacco products in an area used for food storage. PIC discarded the tobacco product. New violation. Observed bacon stored in the freezer uncovered. PIC covered the food item. New violation. Observed the fume hood needs to be cleaned. Discussed the frequency of cleaning the fume hood. Repeat violation. Observed Dumpster lid not closed. PIC had the lid closed. New violation.

Dunkin Donuts, 311 W.Oglethorpe Blvd.

Score: 90, Grade: A

Violations: Observed sausage patties, chicken and white milk being held above 41 degrees Fahrenheit in the walk-in cooler. Person in charge discarded the food items. New violation. Correct by April 28. Observed containers stored wet. Discuss stacking containers to allow them to air dry. New violation.

Council No. 3607 Inc., 2009 Gillionville Road

Score: 96, Grade: A

Violation: Observed food handlers not using a disposable or easily cleanable hair net or other restraint. Discussed proper hair restraints with the PIC. New violation. Observed wiping cloths that were not stored between uses in a chemical sanitizer solution. PIC removed the cloths. Corrected on-site, new violation. Observed the receptacle in the employee restroom in the kitchen was not covered. PIC will purchase a covered receptacle. New violation.

Score: 100, Grade: A

Hot Dog King, 1002 W.Oakridge Drive

Score: 88, Grade: B

Violations: Observed prepared, ready-to-eat food not marked with date of preparation or date for disposal. Discussed proper date marking procedures with PIC. Repeat violation. Observed sanitizer in cloth solution too strong, above 100 ppm; sanitizer was refilled to appropriate concentration. Corrected on-site, new violation. Observed current inspection report not posted in facility or drive-thru; PIC will post most current inspection report. New violation. Observed build-up of dust on ceiling in front area; PIC will inform owner. Repeat violation. Observed wall behind fryers in need of cleaning to remove dust build-up; PIC will inform owner. Repeat violation.

Score: 92, Grade: A

Violations: Observed the interior of the ice machine was not clean to sight and touch. PIC will have ice machine cleaned. Corrected on-site, new violation. Observed wiping cloths that were not stored in chemical sanitizer solution during periods of non-use. Employee placed the cloths in sanitizer solution. Corrected on-site, new violation. Observed multiple light bulbs in the kitchen, walk-in cooler, ware washing and storage areas that were not shielded, coated or otherwise shatter resistant. PIC will have light shields replaced. New violation.

Remarks: Discussed dust on walk-in cooler wall.

Score: 100, Grade: A

Tay’s Wings & Catering, 202 Oakridge Drive, Suite F

Score: 94, Grade: A

Violation: Observed the fume hood needs to be cleaned. Discussed cleaning frequency of the fume hood with PIC. Repeat violation.

The Bistro, 1o5 Chehaw Park Road

Score: 91, Grade: A

Violation: Observed hamburgers held at 124 degrees F in warmer cabinet near pass-through window. Person in charge corrected violation by discarding hamburgers. Corrected on-site, new violation.

Remarks: Discussed proper hot hold temperatures for warmer cabinet and offered recommendations for keeping burgers above 135 degree F.

Paul’s Little Super Market, 245 Stonewall St., Dawson

Score: 87, Grade: B

Violations: Turnip greens improperly cooled (44F after 12 hours). PIC discarded greens. Corrected on-site, new violation. Steamed potatoes cold held after being held under time as a Public Health Control. PIC discarded potatoes. Corrected on-site, new violation. Fish improperly thawed. EHS instructed PIC to thaw fish under cold running water. New violation. Correct by April 28. Dumpster lid open. New violation.

Remarks: Items to address before next inspection: CFSM renewal, hand washing, food storage, residential equipment, water interruption plan, cooling procedures, receiving temps.

Greene’s Meals on Wheels, 19561 Hartford St., Edison

Score: 92, Grade: A

Violations: Frozen hamburger patties stored uncovered in reach-in freezer. PIC properly covered hamburger patties. Corrected on-site, new violation. Sliced cheese, cooked bacon held longer than 24 hours with no throw-out date marked. New violation. Correct by April 26.

Remarks: Items to address before next inspection: Store all foods at least 6 inches off ground, restroom permission documentation, water interruption plan.
