Nov. 27

Captain D’s, 1902 E. Oglethorpe Blvd.

Score: 91, Grade: A

Violation: Observed green beans and rice being held above 41 degrees Fahrenheit in the walk-in-cooler. PIC discarded the food items. New Violation.

Jackson’s Catering, 228 Tremont Ave.

Score: 96, Grade: A

Violations: Observed expired Food Manager Certification. PIC will have someone take class for CFSM New Violation.

Krystal-ALB002, 1605 N. Slappey Blvd.

Score: 95, Grade: A

Violations: Observed shake machine and ice cream area needs cleaning; PIC had employee cleaned area/equipment. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. Observed small hole in ceiling tile above 3-comp sink; PIC will informed manager. New Violation.

Score: 100, Grade: A

Nov. 28

Hardee’s No. 2, 2324 E. Oglethorpe Blvd.

Score: 91, Grade: A

Violations: Observed raw chicken tenders and a milk wash in the prep cooler that were not being maintained at 41 degrees Fahrenheit or below due to equipment not being turned on. PIC discarded the items and turned on cooler. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.

Remarks: Discussed wiping cloths. Discussed dumpster lids.

Violations: Observed pest activity; PIC will have mobile unit sprayed. New Violation.

Score: 100, Grade: A

Waffle House, 121 W. Oglethorpe Blvd.

Score: 91, Grade: A

Violation: Observed diced ham and cheese being held above 41 degrees Fahrenheit in the prep top cooler. The PIC discarded the items. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.

Wing Dixie & Deli, 2601 Dawson Road Suite B4

Score: 92, Grade: A

Violations: Observed inside of microwave not clean to sight and touch. CFSM to ensure it is kept clean and sanitized routinely. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. Correct by Nov. 28. Observed sealed boxes of French fries that was not stored at least 6 inches above the floor. Discussed with CFSM. CFSM will ensure employees restack and store French fries at a minimum of 6 inches above the floor. Repeat Violation. Correct by Nov. 28.

Remarks: Discussed ensuring thermometers in coolers and freezers are visible at all times. Few chlorine test strips given for testing chlorine sanitizing solution until CFSM is able to purchase a new chlorine test strip container.

Score: 96, Grade: A

Violations: Observed some areas of interior of the ice machines not clean to sight and touch. Discussed with CFSM. CFSM to ensure cleaning/sanitizing routinely. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. Correct by Nov. 29.

Smoke and Fire Inc., 2317 E. Broad Ave.

Score: 97, Grade: A

Violations: Observed no splash guard between the 3 compartment sink and the mop sink. PIC will replace the splash guard. New Violation. Correct by Dec. 7. Observed fruit and vegetable sink being used for a purpose other than washing fruits and vegetables. PIC will remove the pans from the sink. New Violation.

Stonebridge Golf & Country Club, 319 Osprey Ridge Court

Score: 93, Grade: A

Violations: Observed no consumer advisory on menus. Discussed with PIC. PIC to have consumer advisory placed on the menus. New Violation. Correct by Dec. 15. Observed wiping cloths that were not stored in chemical sanitizer solution during periods of non use. Discussed with PIC. Chlorine sanitizer solution mixed at 100 ppm as evidenced by test strip. PIC placed the cloths in newly mixed sanitizer solution. Few chlorine test strips given until new chlorine test strip container can be purchased by PIC. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. Correct by Nov. 29.

Remarks: Discussed keeping readily available a plug in the sanitizing portion of 3 compartment sink located at the bar area. Discussed keeping thermometers in cold holding easily visible.

Taco Bell No. 029088, 2006 E. Oglethorpe Blvd.

Score: 96, Grade: A

Violations: Observed utensils that had been washed and rinsed that were being sanitized in a solution that was not at the proper concentration of quaternary ammonium. PIC made fresh sanitizer at 200 ppm. Corrected On-Site. New Violation.

Nov. 30

Bruster’s, 2822 Old Dawson Road

Score: 98, Grade: A

Violations: Observed missing and broken tiles in the back prep area. Discussed with PIC. PIC will relay information to owner that tiles need to be repaired within 2 months. Repeat Violation. Correct by Jan. 30. Observed one light shield in back prep area loose and light bulb exposed. Discussed with PIC. PIC will notify owner that shield needs to be repaired or replaced within 2 weeks. New Violation. Correct by Dec. 14.

Remarks: Discussed keeping thermometers in coolers and freezers visible.

Maryland Fried Chicken, 1926 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive

Score: 96, Grade: A

Violations: Observed gaskets at drink machines (lobby and front counter) needs cleaning; PIC will have gaskets cleaned. New Violation. Observed fume hood needs cleaning; PIC will have fume hood cleaned. New Violation.

Big Daddy’s Lounge, 300 E. Broad Ave.

Score: 95, Grade: A

Violations: Observed that the food service establishment did not have a copy of the employee health policy. PIC was given a copy of the policy. Corrected On-Site. New Violation. Observed no hand soap available in the women’s restroom. PIC will replace the soap. New Violation. Observed the dumpster without tight fitting lids. PIC will have the dumpster lids replaced. New Violation.

Remarks: PIC was given a copy of the employee health policy.

Elements Coffee Company, 2726 Ledo Road Suite 10

Score: 99, Grade: A

Violation: Observed outside dumpster that is also used by other businesses missing part of the top cover and few items of trash debris placed next to dumpster instead of inside of it. Discussed with CFSM. CFSM to ensure missing top cover replaced and outside dumpster area kept free from trash debris. New Violation. Correct by Dec. 22.

Remarks: Discussed routine cleaning/sanitizing of ice machine. Discussed keeping thermometers in cooler/freezers within view for routine monitoring. Discussed routinely monitoring ice level in ice baths. Discussed routine monitoring/documenting temperatures of just delivered food products.

Violations: Observed no tight fitting lids on the dumpster. Discussed with PIC. PIC stated that he has notified the owner regarding the issue before. PIC will notify the owner again that the lids need to be replaced on the dumpster within a month. Repeat Violation. Correct By: 01/01/2018
