We could all use a little love from a furry companion right now. Consider adopting one of these furry little creatures to be part of your family.

The Lee County Animal Shelter is located at 101 Mossy Dell Road, in 

Leesburg and is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

If you are interested in adopting one of these pets, you can fill out a pet adoption form and send it to the shelter.

Here are the adoption rates:

Dogs

Female 6 months or older – $130.00

Female less than 6 months – $102.00

Male 6 months or older – $120.00

Male less than 6 months – $92.00

The price of adoption includes spaying or neutering, rabies vaccination, inserted microchip, heart worm test (where applicable) and a pain shot (2 days of meds).

Cats

Female cats – $85.00

Male Cats – $70.00

The price of adoption includes spaying or neutering, rabies vaccination, Fel/Fiv test, Feline Distemper Vaccine, pain shot (2 days of meds), and and inserted microchip ($25 extra).

This is Buster, a Shih Tzu/Bulldog mix, approximately 2½ years old.He is a big teddy bear weighing around 55 pounds. Buster has been at the shelter since the first of November 2020. He is a big goofy, sweet guy. He loves other dogs big or small, children & running around the yard playing. He is wanting his very own yard to play in. Buster is the Albany Herald Pet of the Week!
