Disabled people go to Walmart to shop. They need to use the riding chairs in order to shop. However, they find children using them as a toy. Walmart employees do not stop them. Some people use Walmart and the Phoebe emergency room as a family outing. There is no respect in Albany, and it is certainly not the Good Life City.

It’s sad that so many people have retranslated “We want justice “ into “We want money.”

Is Subway heading for bankruptcy? I typically eat at a Subway once a week. I have been to two different Subways in the last 10 days. Both times the restaurant was out of many menu items. Sounds to me that Subway may not be paying its suppliers.

A horrible tragedy this weekend. When will our city commissioners realize their weak policies are a part of the problem? We have zero community police presence, no traffic law enforcement, no periodic safety roadblocks, and no real effort to address crime. We just have school zone cameras that are on even when school is out.

“What good fortune for those in power that people do not think.” — Adolf Hitler

Stupidity squawker: There are countless views and rants expressed in this forum every week. Perhaps your take is different than others. It’s SOWEGA, not Hot Lanta, New York or San Fran. Don’t dismiss others’ words so quickly that you actually miss the whole point of the Squawkbox to start with.

I like when I don’t have to be careful what I say. That’s when you know you’re with the right people.

Researchers from the University of Leicester have studied human remains buried in Britain between the 12th and 19th centuries, revealing the profound impact of tobacco on bones and its link to bone-related conditions, such as an increased risk of fractures.

It would be nice if someone polled Lee County teachers about their job satisfaction.

For those of you who complain about the modified Chargers and Mustangs making noise and racing through the streets of Albany at night: As many of those that I see, I see a lot more of these loud redneck pickup trucks racing through town with the good ole boys sitting on their booster seats.

Israel ain’t gonna go after any Christians, idiot.

Mail delivery/priority mail issue? Do not waste your time attempting to get help from your local post office. I was only able to resolve my issue by reaching out to one of our state senators. After the senate office went to work, I received multiple phone calls and email updates. Quality customer service seems to no longer be a priority at the local level.

Dodgers and Yankees in the World Series? I think I’ll sit this one out.

We passed a police officer waiting to catch speeders on Dawson at 7 a.m. this past Sunday morning. At that hour, there are usually no other cars on the road anywhere. Where was he at midnight when literally hundreds of Lake Park families and children were being terrorized by idiot street drag racers with no mufflers?
