Ten million dollars for a bus station is a ridiculous waste of money and ranks right up there with $350,000 for natural gas buses that never have more than 2-3 passengers.

Does anyone know which page of the Bible explains how to turn water into wine? Asking for a friend.

Pat-Riot: Our offer still stands. If you need me or any of the other sane squawkers to go pick up your meds for you, we will. Maybe it will stop you from making such a fool of yourself.

Thank you, Scott Steiner, for not caving in to these phony clowns who took Will Geer’s anti-Phoebe campaign public and tried to keep this very amazing project from taking place. Hopefully, it’s in the hands of contractors now, not these self-important haters who only wanted to “prove their point.”

The only thing “historical” about that old building on Jefferson is that somewhere down the line future generations will read about the silliness that surrounded its being built.

If you are describing the current FBI using rotten eggs, then get it right. The FBI is a very Dirty Dozen of rotten eggs, with no clean-up on the horizon.

If there is one time when masks are not needed, it is when you are outdoors breathing fresh air. So count me as extremely disappointed in seeing the picture of Marines wearing masks in the open field. Add the Marine Corps to the list of simpletons who don’t bother to research the data.

Nice reminder, Fletcher. When things get hectic and I feel like I’m about to explode, I like to put on some classic rock and think about some of the fun things of my life. Like the old gospel song says, “Precious memories, how they linger.”

The ‘07 housing debacle was caused by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac coercing banks to lend to high-risk clients. The banks erroneously believed the feds were backing those loans. They weren’t. Unbelievably Fannie and Freddie are still wanting to push high-risk loans essentially based on race instead of solvency.

Capitalism is built upon respect for private property rights and personal freedom, which results in a system that ensures production and voluntary exchange of products. Socialism is a compulsion and force to dictate exchange.

I am utterly flabbergasted that Crisp County Sheriff Billy Hancock says he would trust Sanford Bishop with his life. I am disappointed.

You cut the head off a snake, and he won’t bite you. Who is paying Phil Cannon’s bills? How does the Historic Commission have the money to sue and pay this lawyer? Who approves bills for payment? Cut the payments, and the lawyer snake dies. Where is HPC’s common sense? I have warned about this group for 60 years.

Since Republicans and the conservative Supreme Court have designated women as second-class citizens. Will women vote in the upcoming mid-term elections?

What’s wrong with Scott Ludwig’s column “When money talks?” The very first line: Money is the root of all evil. The Apostle Paul actually said, “For the love of money is the root of all evil.” (I Timothy 6:10a) This scripture is often misquoted. Money itself isn’t inherently evil. It’s when it becomes one’s first love.
