I work for Dougherty County and am not alone in saying we will miss Cohilas. And if the commissioners get rid of McCoy, we will need to get rid of those commissioners.
Lee County has their act together.
If you wear “woke blinders,” you might believe statements such as “our Southern border is not a critical life-and-death problem,” “violent crime is not out of control in Democrat-run cities and states,” “the Bidens never did illegal deals with Chinese officials.” Open your eyes America. The Patriot
Over 70 bucks for made in China meds. These are the perps who poisoned hundreds of American pets with their poison wheat gluten and then unleashed COVID on the world. And, of course, my silver script is useless, monthly premium a total waste.
When will Lorenzo Heard come out of hiding and start leading? He has been quiet on the LOST negotiations because he probably doesn’t even understand the LOST concept. Of course, this fiasco is going to tarnish the reputation of his predecessor to the point that people will (partially) forget his un-Christlike words and actions.
Carlton knows he can’t change how people feel about him, so he doesn’t try. He just lives his life and stays happy.
My assessment notice on April 29 for my property tax was $3,563.70. That had gone up to $3,843.83 by the time my true bill arrived. How does anyone with any knowledge of accounting miss by that amount? School taxes are about half of our taxes, and the Herald reported that three of our schools ranked in the lowest 5% of schools in the state.
Grasshopper: If you paid attention, you would notice that the price of gas is going down. Because demand for gas worldwide is slowing down. People are not buying as much as they used to, so the price is being reduced.
I cannot believe that the city and county commissioners are willing to let millions of dollars go by acting like children. I am glad I do not live in Dougherty County because the property owners will be paying a long time for this. No wonder businesses do not want to locate here. Pretty soon all that will be here are dollar stores and liquor stores.
When I ask for directions, please don’t use words like “east.”
Sadly, the Ukraine situation doesn’t end. It is simply a part of and an added catalyst of an already ongoing, irreversible and epochal realignment of global social, political, ideological, economic and military powers that ultimately will redefine the world. Coming to bookshelves soon: George Orwell’s “1984, Part 2: Stampede of Humanity.”
The citizens of Albany and Dougherty County are paying one of the highest tax rates among Georgia’s counties, but the services we get for our taxes are subpar. With so many freeloaders on board the gravy train, it’s a shame that our elected and appointed officials waste money on these do-nothings at the expense of working, taxpaying citizens.
You people bi—ing about gas prices and blaming the president have been conspicuously quiet since prices started dropping. I guess you’re saving your breath and your bits of online wisdom for when prices start going up again.
