Fletcher’s column points out some obvious flaws with this school zone camera system. If they’re sending tickets to the wrong person at a wrong address about a wrong car, there are obviously glitches in their system. How many more are paying for tickets they don’t deserve?

Another great article by Gail Drake in Sunday’s paper. She writes like a professional and always on important topics. Thank you, Gail.

Chad would rather build sidewalks than low-income housing.

I’ve had experiences with the school zone cameras similar to Mr. Fletcher’s. This thing is nothing more than a money-making scam, allowing the cops to sit around and do nothing while the money pours in.

This is America, and no one will come to our rescue if things go sideways into chaos. No one will be resupplying us. No one will air-drop food, medical supplies, and ammunition. There is no place to escape for freedom. This is it. We will be on our own.

Thanks for the COVID update. Reading it brought back the horrors of the early days of the virus. Thank goodness enough people have been vaccinated to ward off these latest variants. Those who didn’t get vaccinated? You get what you deserve.

If inmates in prison for the most heinous crimes imaginable are put to death with nitrogen gas, as Clark Gable said, “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.”

Crooks are not leaders, they are just crooks. Why are Democrats so blind to this fact? Seems Democrats are raising their children to be future crooks. President Kennedy would turn in his grave if he knew how his party has changed. This is what happens with weak politicians in charge.

A well-coordinated, well-funded, and high-powered network of extreme left organizations are behind the push to remove former President Trump from the ballot.

Yet again we have Tracy Taylor running for a representative seat. This time the strategy is to change his party affiliation to garner more support. Don’t be fooled. He stated what he is. He has the same lack of understanding of what we want and cares only about being elected.

Sign ordinance kaput or not? Plenty of signs in the rights-of-way, most by tree services. Also, de facto signs on permanent parked vehicles near roadway. Rules are rules.

Saturday between midnight and 1:30 a.m., I was traveling between Westover and Slappey. During this time, I did not see one police car. People were running red lights, stop signs and speeding well beyond posted speed limits. The police force in Albany is a joke. It is apparent that law enforcement is not their priority.

If you ever feel useless, just remember: At least you are not a turn signal in Albany, Georgia.

I really enjoyed the article on Joe Broder. I was in Joe’s very first class in agricultural economics in 1975 at UGA. He was a friend and a mentor over the years, and I wish him the very best.

Tracy Taylor’s election record is worse than Trump’s.

Good news. Finally a “bad list” Albany wasn’t on. Didn’t make the Top 50 cities for bed bug infestations, according to Orkin.
