How can anybody defend Trump?

If you want a different “national anthem,” go elsewhere to find it. What the so-called “black national anthem” push shows is one group of people is not interested in being a part of the “melting pot” accepted by other cultures. Until it’s beneficial, of course.

I understand people’s complaints, but I for one love the new-look Albany Herald. The pages look so much better, and we’re getting more news than we’ve gotten in many years. Thursday’s “Irishman” story and photos are a perfect example. Keep it up, Herald staff.

Persley and Bo: Stop with the press conferences. You sat around doing nothing for years, and you rolled your eyes at voters who asked for more traffic patrol and a crackdown on petty crime. After all the robberies, there are no more excuses. Recruiting and law enforcement are 100% your responsibility. Get to work.

DA Fani Willis has destroyed the integrity and reputation of her office very publicly and with many harsh realities still yet to come. Yes, of course we need State oversight of these “rogue district attorneys” who break the law on a whim.

The reason there is no new immigration law is that big business wants cheap labor. Consumers want cheap prices.

I can’t help but wonder how much would get done in our community if all these keyboard warriors who daily condemn Trump of Biden would focus some of that attention on local issues. You people are not going to change a thing with your rants. But you could make a difference if you focused on our community.
