RecX to bring outdoor equipment, activities to Moultrie during three-day show

MOULTRIE – The newest models of boats, all-terrain and utility-task vehicles and recreational vehicles will be on display over the weekend in Moultrie at a show that will also feature educational programs on hunting, trapping and dealing with nuisance animals.

The inaugural RecX will run from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Sunday at Spence Field, the home of the Sunbelt Ag Expo.

“We’re hoping that we get a good turnout,” RecX organizer Mike Bankston said. 

In addition to the sport vehicles, the show also will feature smaller farm equipment used by landowners for conservation and wildlife management.

“We’ll have the latest four-wheelers, side-by-sides … Kawasaki, Honda, Polaris and more,” Bankston said. “There will be small recreational land management equipment from Kubota, Koyote, Mahindra. There will be a lot of different things … campers, just a lot going on.”

Indoors, visitors will find exhibitors of fishing and hunting gear.

The Georgia Department of Natural Resources also will hold educational programs covering topics on deer and quail, trapping and wildlife viewing, as well as predator and land and pond management.

“We’ve got a kid’s zone’ we’ve got a good lineup of exhibitors and lots of good food,” Bankston said.

The kid’s zone will include a petting zoo, crafts, face-painting and train rides.
