Because its plot was kept under wraps until its premiere in theaters, it drove more audiences to figure out what the movie was really about. In one review from The Independent, critic Clarissa Loughrey has only nice words about both Daniel Kaluuya and Keke Palmer’s performances.“Kaluuya is a true one-of-a-kind talent who still turns out an intensely magnetic performance with a character explicitly written to be sullen and uncharismatic. Palmer gives us the kind of capable horror heroine that’s impossible not to root for.”While Daniel is a fan and Jordan Peele’s favorite (Get Out), it’s great to see Keke take on the horror genre with such force and grace.
