School’s back in session and there are opportunities for families to get out together this weekend on the Flint River and activities geared more for the adults going on in the Albany area.

When: Friday, starts at 6 p.m.Where: Veterans Park Amphitheater.While you’re out for Fridays on the Flint the Albany Police Department and partners will be on hand to hand out free backpacks and school supplies to students and parents.

Wnen: Saturday, starts at 7 p.m.Where: Pretoria Fields Brewing, 120 Pine Ave.The Page Broghers Band has a a seampy,, Southern sound rooted in bluesy rock and roll and Georgia Soul and they’ll be live at Pretoria Fields.

When: Saturday, 8 p.m.-11 p.m.Where: The Mellow Mushroom, 2825 Nottingham Way.The John Shealy guitar experience will be live at the Mushroom.

When: Friday, starts at 6:30 p.m.Where: Albany VFW, 315 Philema Road.Danny the DJ and the Still River Band will provide the entertainment. Proceeds from a raffle will support the organization.Admission: $7.
