The city of Albany is kicking off the holiday season with the 34th annual Celebration of Lights. With the theme “Toy Land Fantasy,” the day starts with the opening of the market at 4 p.m., followed by pre-parade entertainment at 4:45 p.m. and the lighting of the tree at 5:45 p.m.
The bad news is area Christmas parades scheduled for last Saturday were canceled. The good news is they’re back on for this weekend. Albany, Leesburg and Tifton have their parades rescheduled for Saturday to bring Christmas cheer to southwest Georgia. Don’t miss the pageantry and bright lights of the holiday season.
