Dubbed “the country Pretenders” by WSM’s Devon O’Day, Tori’s ethereal vocals are the yin to Blake’s chicken pickin’ yang. Their first single “On Down the Road” was awarded HOTDISC Country’s Best International Music Video in 2017 and since they’ve been performing across North America.

Don’t let the post-holiday blues keep you indoors. This weekend in the Albany area there are opportunities to see how the early settlers lived in the frontier days, dance and see an alt-country female-fronted band in the town of Blakely,

When: Friday, starts at 7 p.m.Where: Parish hall at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 421 Edgewood Lane.Early bird play starts at 7 p.m., with the regular session starting at 7:30 p.m.

When: Friday, starts at 6:30 p.m.Where: Albany VFW, 315 Philema Road.Danny the DJ and the Still River Band will provide the entertainment. Proceeds from a raffle will support the organization.Admission: $7.

When: Friday, 7 a.m.-7 p.m.Where: 1525 First Ave. S.E., Moultrie.The State Farmers Market in Moultrie offers fresh produce, meat and fish and more, and is open throughout the year.

When: Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m., continues Saturday and Sunday.Where: Chehaw Park & Zoo, 105 Chehaw Park Road.The Frontier Festival returns this weekend, with participants living the life of the 1700s frontier lifestyle around open campfires. See demonstrations like blacksmithing, weaving, cooking, moccasin making and hide tanning. Vendors will be on hand.
