Summer is in full swing, and a leisurely float down the Flint and musical acts of all kinds are lined up for the weekend in Albany.

When: Saturday, starts at 10 a.m.Where: Punk’s Landing, 11151 Old. Ga. Hwy. 3.Float down the Flint River by canoe or kayak on the Albany Poker Float and draw a card at stops along the way. Top three poker hands earn prizes from $50 to $250. When: Saturday, starts at 11 a.m.Where: Lockett Station Community Center.The Albany Recreation & Parks Department’s Summer Youth Workshop has activities designed to focus on the importance of respecting others, staying out of trouble, college preparation and lifestyle improvements.
