When: 7 p.m.-10 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Saturday.Where: Peachtree Park in Doerun, corner of Peach Street and Union Drive.The annual Doerun Mayday Festival kicks off with the BBQ competition and DJ Smiles on Friday. This a unique property that hosts Southern specialties such as Northern bobwhite, Bachman’s Sparrow, red-headed woodpeckers, and so much more. Plan to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the farm.Admission: $30. Proceeds support the long-term care of the property.
