Summer may be winding down, but there is still lots to do outside this weekend. Fridays on the Flint kicks off the weekend on Friday with a date night theme, and on Saturday Dawson is holding a celebration of Otis Redding downtown.

When: Saturday, 10 a.m.-3 p.m.Where: Downtown Davwon at the intersecion of S.E. Johnson Street and Stonewall Street.Dawson is proclaiming Saturday as Otis Redding Day, and will celebrate with a day of music, food and fun. When: Friday, starts at 7 p.m.Where: Parish hall at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, 421 Edgewood Lane.Early bird play starts at 7 p.m., with the regular session starting at 7:30 p.m.

When: Friday, starts at 6:30 p.m.Where: Albany VFW, 315 Philema Road.Danny the DJ and the Still River Band will provide the entertainment. Proceeds from a raffle will support the organization.Admission: $7.

When: Sunday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m.Where: Pretoria Fields Brewing, 120 Pine Ave.Head to downtown Albany for a day of live music, great eats and shopping local.
