The Snickers Marathon and Half Marathon was revived last year after a two-year absence due to COVID-19. Tourism officials say other events are returning to Albany post-pandemic, including conventions and entertainment.

Katia Blunden, a native of Finland who now resides in Destin, Fla., raises her hands in victory after winning the women’s half marathon with a time 1:26:11. More than 1300 runners lined up for the Snickers Marathon and Half Marathon Saturday morning in Albany. Look for runners with bib 666 (Sergei Zyrianov) and 677 (Eulid Ngetich) standing right next to each other at the starting line. Those two finished the 26.2-mile trek within two seconds of each other.
